A Naval Academy Foundation School
for more than 40 years,
NWPREP has produced outstanding
midshipmen and officers.
Navy and Marine pilots, Marines, SWO's, Submariners, the largest number of SEALS, Intelligence officers, Congressional staff aides, Admirals' aides, doctors, and grad school scholarship winners have all come from Northwestern Prep. Our midshipmen have been top athletes earning the role of team captain in many sports. Our students have been Navy basketball players, water polo players, swimmers, swim team captain, boxing team captain, football players, cheerleaders, golfers, sailing team champions and wrestlers. They have been on exchange programs to other academies and to the Royal British Naval Academy. One midshipman sailed with the French Navy in Special Ops. Our students have traveled with the Drum and Bugle Corps, the Naval Academy Singing Groups.
In the academic arena Northwestern students have earned top honors as winners of Fitzgerald, Fulbright and Marshall scholarships. One midshipman was a finalist for a Rhodes Scholarship. They have begun their masters programs at local universities while still attending the academy. Some Northwestern Prep students have graduated with 4.0 averages. One student was #2 in the graduating class.
Militarily our midshipmen have excelled earning honors as Five Stripers, Brigade Staff members, Company Commanders, Platoon Commanders and Plebe Summer Cadre. We have former students who have reached the rank of Admiral.
